Brownie Trifle


From the "Ultimate Southern Living Cookbook"

Brownie Trifle

Prep Time 18 min.Cook Time 28 min.Chill 8 hours.

1 box fudge brownie mix (for testing purposes only we used Betty
Crocker)
1/2 c. Kahlua (optional)
3 3.9 ounce boxes instant chocolate pudding
4 cups milk
1 12 oz. carton of Cool Whip
6 Heath Bars, crumbled

BAKE the brownie mix according to the package directions in a 13 x 9
pan. Bake 28 minutes, or according to directions.

PRICK the warm brownies every inch with a fork and brush with
Kahlua. Let brownies cool. Crumble brownies into small pieces.

PREPARE the 3 boxes of pudding with 4 cups of milk. Omit the
chilling instructions.

LAYER one third of the crumbled brownies, one third of the pudding
mix, one third of the cool whip, and one third of the Heath pieces
in the Hemingway Hurricane, or another glass bowl. Repeat the
layering 2 times, ending with the Heath pieces. Cover and chill till
set, can be made 8 hours ahead.
