This centerpiece is easy to pick up and move around the home. The coffee table this week, the kitchen bar next week and maybe the dining room table for a quick Easter centerpiece. For Easter I would add a cross to the grouping.

Fill a mason jar with some perky daffodils, tie on a burlap ribbon accented with a spring green bow. Fill jar with water and add limes or lemons for added interest.

If you are done with your fireplace for the season, clean & empty out the logs and insert a basket of white twigs mixed with white fairy twinkle lights.These are similar to Christmas lights, but have teeny tiny bulbs for a magical effect.

An old red water pump is turned into an adorable lamp. Use an old chair of your children's or maybe even from your childhood to give added height when making displays. The old shutters and antique yellow dresser add a more texture and visual interest to this setting.
Grab an old milk bottle carrier and fill it with old or new mason jars. Next add your assorted munchies like carrot sticks, celery, pickles, pretzel rods...don't forget the silverware. Coconut Creme Pie or Banana Cream Pie is delightful! Add height to your outdoor table with an inverted wire basket. A flat table is a BORING table! Don't forget the candles...yes, I break the rules and light candles during the day! It's all about the little touches, after all they could be citronella to keep bugs away! Spring greens, fresh strawberries, raspberries, pecans and drizzle with a light salad dressing. Add in some crusty rolls from Panera and you have a yummy and light on the tummy lunch. Don't forget the lemonade with fresh lemon or lime slices!
We had a FREAK snowstorm here in Iowa. It dumped about 8-10" of snow on April 5, 2009.
Here is our yard and the kids swingset. This was green on Saturday and now there is no sign of grass! It even lightning and thundered amidst the heavy snow falling. THUNDERSNOW!
Here it is on Monday, half way melted already. YEAH! Our poor gold fish! We cleaned the pond on Friday and filled it back up with water and took the goldfish out of the house aquarium. We placed them into the pond outside. Luckily, the pond didn't freeze too much..you can see here the fountain is still spraying water up! No snow on the driveway left...at least that melted fast. We are wanting to go camping this weekend...IF the weather straightens up and the snow melts.

I am seeing lots of bamboo trays, end tables, mirrors in the decorating world.
