Garden tools on display!

Look how these garden tools are displayed. Very clever!

Displays

An old red water pump is turned into an adorable lamp. Use an old chair of your children's or maybe even from your childhood to give added height when making displays. The old shutters and antique yellow dresser add a more texture and visual interest to this setting.

Garden displays

Use an old clothes drying rack to dry herbs or add color to your ceiling area. This drying rack was expanded out and hung from the ceiling with jute string. Then add florals, and garden lanterns for a pop of color to your ceiling area. Love the rustic drying rack, don't you?


Yellow looks fabulous when paired with red. Think red berries, cherries, apples, pears, geraniums, gerber daisies. Add in a rustic rooster for a great farmhouse feel.

Not sure if this is an old grocery cart or laundry cart but I LOVE it filled with red geraniums! Tuck in a few clay pots and old garden tools and place by your back door. In the fall fill with pumpkins, leaves, acorns and gourds. At Christmas time fill with evergreen branches and twig snowflakes.

A great combination of floral containers like urns, water cans, weather baskets and crocks.
Make your own "mossy" containers by doing the following:

Dig up a little moss and dirt from along the north side of your flower beds (or your neighbor's) with buttermilk in a blender. Then simply, paint on your clay pots. Wait a week or two and you should have "new" moss growing on your pots.


Hang herbs and flowers to dry with white string wrapped around the base of the stem. Add a loop to hang them from on an old weathered barn board. I simply hang them from the rafters in my garage to dry. I do this with german statice, baby's breath and anything else I want to dry. It's a cool, dry and dark place that works perfectly to dry your florals.


Spray your old metal chairs with a vibrant shade of sunny yellow or bright red for a unexpected pop of color in your garden or near your front door. Love those vintage chairs. They are even make new chairs now to look like these old chairs!
